Weekly Music Chart 2007 - April week 1

No. 1 song: Ivy remains No. 1 for the 3rd straight week with "유혹의 소나타" (Temptation of Sonata). This song scored a chart record 997 points this week, just 3 points shy of a perfect 1000 score.  The previous record was Buzz's "겁쟁이" (Coward) which scored 996 points exactly 2 years ago on April week 1 of 2005 chart. Ivy's song was No. 1 on every chart in Korea last week. The only drawback to prevent her from getting a perfect score was that her song was not listed in MTV Korea's chart. Biggest Mover of the week: As expected, Yoon Ha's "비밀번호 486" (Secret Number 486) is the biggest mover, up 26 spots to No. 19 this week. Yoon Ha brings us a unique brand of pop rock music, and she plays the piano very well as seen from her live performances. Her first full Korean album is also doing very well on the album sales chart. Look for this song to crack into the top 10 very soon. Hot shot debut: Veteran Kim Gun Mo, one of the most respected singers in Korea, has our highest debut this week at No. 14 with the title song from his 11th album "허수아비" (Scarecrow). This result already surpassed the title song "Moon of Seoul" from his previous album which only went to No. 20. Even though Kim Gun Mo's popularity and album sales is not what it is used to be, he still got a loyal fan base of all ages. We are seeing his latest album among the top sellers again. He should complete his long awaited return to the top 10 next week. New songs: We have 10 new songs and 1 re-entry this week. Songs to watch out: 8. Lyn - 이별살이 (Separate Life) - Lyn is back to the top 10 with this title song from her 4th album, up 10 spots to No. 8. The popularity of this song has already surpassed songs from her 3rd album. Let see if this song can do even better than her biggest hit "사랑했잖아". 17. Evan - 남자도… 어쩔 수 없다 (Man…Are Unavoidable) - Former Click B member Yoo Ho Suk comes back as a soloist and adopts a new name (Evan is his English name). Just like Oh Jong Hyuk (another Click B member who has released a solo album), Even's music is very different from his days in Click B. This song is has an easy listening melody which is a combination of R&B and Jazz. Oh Jong Hyuk's first solo song "죽을만큼…" (Deadly) went to No. 6 last year. We'll see if Evan can match his ex-groupmate's success. 18. Epik High - Love Love Love - 2nd single from the trio's mega-successful 4th album, this song replaced "Fan" on the chart. Epik High continues to please fans with their commercial hip-hop songs and great arrangements. Looks like this is another top 10 hit for them. 27. Kim Dong Ryul - 감사 (Thank You) - Singer-songwriter Kim Dong Ryul recently released a best hit album that included all his greatest hits of the last 10 years. This is one of the new songs. The album is surprisingly selling very well. 34. NoRaJo - 사생결단 (Desperation) - One of the funniest duos in k-pop.  NoRaJo reminded me of Country Kko Kko. It's always a joy to watch their live performance. This song is as fun as their debut song "Happy Song" 2 years ago. 47. As One (feat. Son Ho Young) - 다시 내곁으로 (Beside Me Again) - We've heard many duets in k-pop this year and here is another one. It's from As One's recently released special album "5 Love Stories that we know". 4 of the 5 ballads are duets, and this one featuring Son Ho Young is the one than fans want to hear most. I m so happy happy happy!! Jus saw e email! Can save $ to skip 1 level. Jus went NUS extension with lu last wk n take e test unprepared when they say its FREE to take e placement test. N its FREE registration fee. More worthy than e korean school.

I passed I passed! They wan me to go down to take e oral test. I must go prepared n probably take e level 2 written test is possible. Ahhhh...so happy. Jus called to express my excitement to al but she nv picked up her phone...must be wrkin. So disappointin...ahe haven take her test yet. I must wrk hard n gt e scholarship if possible.

Met yx at NTU today. Double happy! Supposed to meet cat at lunch break today but couldnt make it to ntu in time....so sad. But hope to c her tmr! Triple happy!

Anyway tmr another interview at recuit express. Din wanna go at first cos they wil give me e same form to sign again. So sian...but they say e employer v picky. Even if i go down doubt its e employer who wil interview me. N sti hav to wait for them to post e job to e employer. But its glad to hav lu to acc me.

No. 1 song: Lee Ki Chan's "미인" (A Beauty) barely edged out Epik High's "Fan" by 2 points (938 to 936) to become our new No. 1 song. "A Beauty" has topped a lot of internet charts in Korea. Lee Ki Chan recaptured the No. 1 spot for the first time since "감기" in 2003. His ballads have always been top in charts, and this time is no different. Biggest Mover of the week: Lots of new songs from last week made big jumps this week. Ivy's "유혹의 소나타" (Temptation of Sonata) moves up 26 spots straight into the top 10 at No. 9. This is actually Ivy's first top 10 song in our chart. Even though Ivy was named the best new female artist back in 2005, songs from her debut album did not hit the top 10 on our chart back then. She is destined to do much better this time. Hot shot debut: Superjunior-T's "로꾸거" (Ro Ggu Guh) is our highest debut at No. 32. Superjunior-T is a "project group" spun off from members of Superjunior. The "T" stands for trot (traditional Korean music). This song is written by Hwang Se Joon and Cho Eun Hee. They teamed up last year for hits like Howl's "Parrot" and K's "Smile". Ly immediately qn me bout results as soon as i m online but i m so anxious as i haven checked yet. Phew...luckily i din forward any module SERIOUSLY. Gt 2 Cs but it was better than i thought when i failed all sections of mark's test which is half e section of the test. I dont know to study for another half year n gt 2 unexpected As too!!! Haha...i din even gt an A last sem lo. 

Hmm...i gt an interview fr job agency tmr at suntec tower at 2. She asked me to bring my friends there...sh, mavis, chew and maybe ll wan to go with me tmr?? I hope ill gt e job for e interview today and most importantly able to work happily. Ll was askin me wan to go c bpco performance this afternoon n i haven reply her yet...ahh. Watchin 'Cyborg' with phy hs in e evenin later... 

I hav jus finished watchin Hwang Jin Yi and Fantasy Couple lately. They r e best dramas i hav watched recently..hmm maybe i shall write drama reviews in my blog.
